If an event is hosting two or more games, students must decide in which tournament they will participate exclusively.
Games are selected based on inclusivity and diversity. Esports in Education is meant to be for all students from elementary to college.
See below for tournament modes & settings. More games will come.
One player against one player in either Single Match or Best of X.
It can be Single or Double Elimination.
Two or more players in a team against an equal amount of players in a team in either Single Match or Best of X.
It can be Single or Double Elimination.
Multiple players or teams in the same Single Match or Best of X in a Single Elimination.
Two or more players in a team against an equal amount of players in a team in a Squad Match in Single or Double Elimination.
Once a player or team is eliminated, they are out of the tournament. The 1st place is given to those who do not lose.
When a player or team loses for the first time, they move to Consolation Rounds for a second chance at wining. Once they lose twice, they are out of the tournament. 1st place is given to those who lost none or only once.
A single match winner may be determined by the number of lives/stocks, percentages, or time. In a racing game, for example, it is determined by who arrived first.
The winner will be determined after X matches (most common is Best of 3). In a lives/stock round Best of 3, it can be determined that a player or team that wins the first two matches is automatically the winner without a 3rd match. In Mario Kart for example, it is Best of 4 where all 4 matches need to be played.
This is a stock/lives specific match.
It starts as a 1v1.
The winner takes count of how many stocks left.
Then, the winner continues with the next player of the opposing team as a 1v1.
The winner of the pervious match needs to lose stocks down to the number noted in step 2.
Repeat steps 2 thru 4.
The winner is determined when the other team has no players left.
