Game Settings
Multiplayer.
2p or 4p must be decided before the tournament (Note: 4p may turn in to 3p or 2p based on bracket).
VS Race.
All: vehicles, wheels, & gliders.
OFF: Smart Steering, Tilt Controls, Auto-Accelerate.
Race: 100cc recommended, but must be decided before the tournament.
No Teams.
Items: Bob-ombs Only recommended, but must be decided before the tournament.
No COM.
Random Courses.

Tournament Rules
Winner will be determined by resulting screen.
In the rare event of a tie, any 1st place winners will advance.
Before the tournament, a decision must be made on how many will advance. For example:
If two advance and there is a tie for 1st, both advance.
If two advance and there is no tie, 1st & 2nd places advance.
If two advance, and there is a tie for 2nd, 1st and both 2nd places advance (total of 3).
Character Selection:
Players will select their character and skin of their choice.
Pausing will be strictly forbidden.
Glitches & Rule Breaking
In the event of a glitch or broken rule during the match, tournament officials will provide rule and/or clarification for said circumstances.
In the event of a glitch or system malfunction the match will be replayed pending tournament staff decision.
Stalling
Intentionally making the game unplayable is banned and at the discretion of tournament staff.
Stalling will result in a forfeit of the game for the player that initiated the action.
If all players remain idle, then tournament staff will make a decision.
Modded Controllers:
A judgment call needs to be made prior to the even on whether controllers with extra features are allowed.
For Example:
Turbo feature, Macros, Extra Buttons, etc.
Elimination:
The match will be Best of 4 and Single Elimination.
Tardiness
Anyone who is not present for their set by 5 minutes past the scheduled start time is subject to a match loss.
Etiquette.
Players are to be competitive and respectful at all times.
There will be no profanity directed towards another participant and there will be no physical altercations between participants.
In the event of verbal abuse, the player who initiated the abuse will be disqualified and removed from the tournament.
In the event of a fight, both players will be disqualified.
Collusion.
Players suspected of colluding may be immediately disqualified from the tournament.
This includes intentionally throwing a game, bribing a participant in any way, or committing any other form of bracket manipulation.
Misinterpretation/Misconfiguration.
Games and matches are not to be replayed due to a misinterpretation of the rules OR misconfiguration of game settings.
Game settings should be configured according to “GAME SETTINGS” established above.
It is the players’ responsibility to ask staff for any clarification of the rule set.
In the event of a disagreement, the outcome of a game, or set, will not be changed after the fact unless under extreme circumstances.
Judgment reserved for tournament staff.
Final Rulings.
If any unforeseen situations occur, judgment of Tournament Staff is final.
Rules may be altered between phases of a tournament in the best interests of the event.
Example:
A game breaking glitch is discovered on a stage mid tournament that could be exploited. Thus, the stage may need to be removed from legal play for the remainder of the event.
